"Inter-religious and intercultural dialogues, on the occasion of the centenary of Raimon Panikkar (1918-2010)

At the closing of the XIIth International Congress of Intercultural Philosophy, the Escuela Internacional de Filosofía Intercultural (=EIFI), based in the Casa d'Espiritualitat Sant Felip Neri, Nena Casas 37-47, Barcelona, is founded on 11 November 2017.
In addition to the initiator of the EIFI, Raúl Fornet-Betancourt (Aachen), the following are members of the board of directors of the EIFI: Berta Meneses (Casa d’Espiritualitat Sant Felip Neri), Ángels Canadell (Asociación Filosofía de la Tierra) and Jesús Vicens (University of Barcelona). This project involves philosophers from more than 70 universities and research institutions – from Nazanz (Japan) to Harvard (USA) and from Moscow via Buenos Aires to Abidjan. From the German-speaking regions, the universities of, inter alia, Constance, Würzburg and Vienna are represented in the committees of the EIFI.
From November 8-10, 2017, the XIIth Internacional Congress of Intercultural Philosophy took place, organized by the ISIS-Institute in cooperation with the Casa d’Espiritualitat Sant Felip Neri in Barcelona.
The questions for the relationship between Spirituality and Formation arouse great interest, as the exchange showed among some fourty participants coming from different universities and research institutes in Africa, Asia, the Americas and the Caribbean, as well as from Europe.
XVIIIth International Seminar of the North-South Dialogue Program:
From May 16–19, 2017, the XVIIIth International Seminar of the North-South Dialogue Program took place at the University of Loyola Andalusia; it was organized by the Institute of Human Sciences and Philosophy in cooperation with the ISIS Institute.
With the theme of “Spiritualities and Religions. Their contribution to justice and awareness in the global society”, this seminar further developed the debate (that previously took place) at the previous seminar in Chiapas, to examine the situation of our time, and to explore sources for a spiritual and intercultural renewal of social coexistence.
